Eitan Cohen

Tel Aviv, Israel

Technion CS, three years in Unit 8200, then three AI startups. Eitan integrates AI that actually works on your data.

Eitan earned his BSc in Computer Science from the Technion in Haifa, then spent his mandatory service in Unit 8200, the Israeli Defense Forces' signals intelligence unit — a well-known pipeline for the country's technology sector. After his service he joined a series of three AI startups: an enterprise document-understanding company, an NLP infrastructure platform, and a small computer-vision shop. Each one gave him different exposure to the gap between AI demos that look magical and AI products that actually ship reliably.

At Keltus, Eitan owns the AI integration layer across every project: GoWeb's pluggable LLM tasks, NewsTosser's per-target rewrite pipeline, Zavos's translation stack, and every client engagement involving retrieval-augmented generation or custom AI personalities. He is a strong advocate for self-hosted Ollama as the default — partly because data sovereignty matters, partly because he has personally seen too many vendor APIs get expensive at scale.

Eitan speaks Hebrew, English, and Arabic, runs a popular technical newsletter on small-model fine-tuning, and is — by his own admission — incapable of going on a vacation without taking at least one laptop.
