The website you're reading is its own case study. The whole stack — Astro front-end, Directus CMS, MariaDB, Go services, NginX — runs on a single mini PC with 16 GB of RAM and an AMD Ryzen 7 5800 processor, sitting on a shelf in our office. No Kubernetes, no auto-scaling, no managed everything. Just well-chosen technology. It's an example of that's possible with a well-designed site.

Yandex PageSpeed scores it 100 / 100 / 100 / 100 on desktop. Zero milliseconds of Total Blocking Time. Sub-second Largest Contentful Paint from anywhere in the world.

The lesson buried in this is the one we apply to every project: most software is over-engineered. The modern web stack offers an enormous suitcase of moving parts, and many teams pack the whole thing before they've asked whether they need any of it. We build the opposite way — small, fast, and proportional to the problem. The proof is the website you're reading.
